The
King & His Court Announce It’s Farewell Tour
Kennewick,
Washington – 9/16/2010 - After 65 years, performing
for more than 20,000,000 fans in over 4,000 cities worldwide
and throughout 104 countries, the King & His Court made
it official today by announcing preparations for its last
100 events tour.
The King & His Court have been one of sport's constants,
its longest running show. Founded in 1946 by the “King
of Softball” Eddie Feigner -- the King & His Court
debut was a perfect game in Pendleton, Ore. -- and the act
has stretched into the next millennium. Having won games in
Yankee Stadium, beside the Great Wall of China, playing from
the deck of the aircraft carrier Midway, to the DMZ bordering
North and South Korea, to the jungles of Thailand, the locks
of the Panama Canal and the sand dunes and oil fields of Saudi
Arabia, the King & His Court have entertained fans the
world over.
Throughout the years The King & His Court have seen 7
wars, 8 presidents, and the rise and fall of the Berlin Wall.
Listed in Sports Illustrated; September 6, 1999 as #8 on the
all-time list of teams American's enjoyed watching they have
amazed fans with the trademark blindfolded pitching performances
on “The Steve Allen Show”, “The Tonight
Show”, “The Jerry Lewis Telethon”, and “CBS
Sunday Sports Spectacular” to name a few.
Still dressed in the trademark red, white and blue uniforms
and taking the field as a 4-man team; pitcher, catcher, first
baseman and shortstop, the King & His Court will travel
the back roads and busy streets of cities and communities
one last time bringing a message of Hope, Awareness and of
Choice. Encouraging fans and spectators to follow their hearts
and commit to their dreams.
